Addicted To Winning

Aug 28, 2023

Nothing happens by accident. There are no coincidences. A clear-cut journey has been mapped out, but the path is never quite as clear.  There are times when you will question if what you're doing in your life is truly in alignment with who you are as a person. Pay close attention to this.  It's your beacon attempting to put you back on the right path according to your purpose and journey.  That is one part of finding success in this life and the other is living intentionally and being present in the moment of each and every iteration of your life.

Billy Lahr is an Intentional Living Coach, Mindfulness Teacher, and Host of The Mindful Midlife Crisis Podcast.  His 21-year career in education helped him set the stage for the next iteration of his life which is helping to guide others both here and in Asia to find the best ways to be present and quickly uncover their "purpose" on this planet.

In this episode, Jeff and Billy share a childhood connection they never knew about until recently. Billy shares how he is motivated by words of affirmation and the power most people feel when they are praised for the progress they are making in their lives.  Jeff shares a reflection about a time when he was coaching kids in Hockey for 7 years and the impact of taking them from mediocre status to elite as both human beings and players.  If you're looking for something to listen to dripping with authenticity and value, this is the episode you should listen to this morning.

How To Get Involved:

Addicted to Winning connects listeners through stories that prove why mindset matters. Jeff Brekken was working a 60-hour week on his family’s farm by the time he was 10. When he wasn’t helping with the harvest, he was at the hockey rink. Jeff’s early life experiences taught him he needs to be either all-in or all-out.

In 2000 he started a single-family home construction business and by 2008 he was looking for the next big thing. Jeff founded the Blue Sky Benefit Solutions & Rise Above HR/ Recruiting on top of a lifelong passion for helping people. Through this show, Jeff will take that passion one step further.
